My Story

To be honest, I’m just your average mommy and wifey. But to be candid, I can take a pretty good picture. But it’s about so much more than that. It’s really about telling your story.

One thing I strive to be as a photographer, as a writer, a mother, a wife, a friend, a human being, is honest. And thankful. Unique. Passionate. Creative. Thoughtful. Inspired. These are the attributes that I want to shine through in my life, my character, my images.

I believe that sometimes, most of the time, less is more. Simple is best.

I love my hubby. I adore my daughter and son. I’m so lucky to have them. I take coffee with my french vanilla creamer. Fall has a smell, and it’s my favorite. I can never have too many sweater dresses or pairs of jeans, preferably skinny, paired with boots. Love the Rachel Zoe Project, it’s my fantasy escape into fashion. I was nearly 19 when I had my first kiss, to the British boy on campus, who is now my husband. Good Will Hunting and Jerry Maguire are two of my favorite movies ever. Steinbeck’s East of Eden is hands down my favorite book. I love the way music can create such a range of emotions within me. Listen to Sister Winter by Sufjan Stevens, it’ll have you in tears, in a great way.

Change makes me uncomfortable, but I’ve always grown from it. I never thought my life would be where it is today, or events would’ve unfolded as they have, but I’m grateful that I am where I am. I’m blessed.

My hope, and goal, is to document honestly, passionately, thoughtfully, emotionally, and fully. To leave nothing behind. To be inspired, and, if I’m lucky, to inspire.

My style? Fresh and fun, with lots of natural light. Simply put, I want to tell your unique story. I want to create photographs that inspire, that evoke emotion, and that brings out the best in both you and I.

Dr. Seuss said, “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” I want to help you remember, and smile.

That’s a little bit about my story. What’s yours?
